Downtown Grand Rapids Engagement Session

Erin + Erich really wanted the Downtown Grand Rapids vibes for their engagement photos. We chose to start at the Grand Rapids Art Museum, then head to a parking ramp.

Grand Rapids Art Museum features a beautiful staircase facing Rosa Parks Circle. Next to the steps is a cute little private courtyard which offers a chance to have a little bit more privacy while taking photos. During Erin + Erich’s session we got lucky with live music happening in Rosa Parks Circle, so the vibes were so fun making candid photos effortless.

When choosing a parking garage, I highly recommend Cherry Commerce Parking Ramp. It’s by far the most aesthetically pleasing ramp with its white walls and black rails. Choosing a ramp for your photo location may sound silly, but parking ramps will offer privacy and space to run around and take the most fun photos, while still achieving the city-scape views in the background.

I’m so in love with the way Erin + Erich’s photos turned out. The way they interacted with each other throughout the session was so fun and silly, making for the best candid photos full of emotion.

Ready to book your engagement session? I’d love to have you in front of my camera! :)
