Erin + Brandon’s Engagement Session

Erin and Brandon are one of my Caberfae Peaks wedding couples for 2026. Caberfae is where I got married, so having the opportunity to shoot a wedding there for another couple is so incredibly special to me.

The two wanted to do their engagement session at Erin’s parents’ property. It was her parents’ dream to build a home on this beautiful acreage in Northern Michigan. Erin’s dad unfortunately has since passed away, but not before he left behind a beautiful home that he designed and built for his wife. Erin’s mom told me that each time she sees a dragonfly she knows that it’s a sign from her husband, telling her that he’s right there with her. This story truly touched my heart. This land and house is such a special place for them.

Sessions at home, at family homes, and in intimate settings will always be my favorite to shoot. Thank you to Erin and Brandon for inviting me to this special place. I don’t take it for granted, and I know that it’s a privilege to have been there with you on that summer evening. I am SO looking forward to your wedding at Caberfae next August!
