Riverbend Estate │ Otsego, MI
I went to a networking event back in February and met some really great wedding industry pros. At the event, I met Karri, who is the owner of the Riverbend Estate Venue in Otsego, MI. She told me it was a new venue that her and her husband purchased. It used to be home to a couple before being turned into a venue. It’s drop-dead gorgeous and such a unique spot. I was so excited at the opportunity to visit and take some photos in the space!
The mansion is a rentable add-on that you can stay in over the weekend with your wedding party/family. The lower portion of the mansion is included in your day-of venue reservation which houses one of the getting ready areas, a full kitchen, bathrooms, and a couple of bedrooms for changing/keeping your personal items. The full mansion has two full kitchens, 6 full bedrooms, countless bathrooms, a sauna, a movie theater, a sun room, a great room, dining room, a second living room, an office, and panoramic views— literally 4 of the 6 bedrooms have a water view of either the pond in the front yard or the river in the back.
The barn space is so much more than your standard barn. It is an aesthetic space with freshly poured concrete floors, insanely tall ceilings, great lighting, a second getting ready space, and a separate cocktail hour space with a bar area.

This venue is truly a gem and I know it’s going to be such a hit now that it’s open. I hope to photograph a wedding here in the future; I can already see the twinkle lights hanging in the yard outside the stable, frolicking through the fields, and the first looks on the balcony in the mansion.
For this shoot I teamed up with a bunch of amazing vendors. True Society (Grand Rapids) provided a couple of gorgeous wedding gowns. True Society has a special place in my heart because I got my wedding dress there! Every time I’ve been to their shop I have had such a great experience. I highly recommend them to any bride.
Dunhill Tuxedo (Grand Rapids) provided us with the suit, shoes, shirt, and pocket square for our groom. My husband did not get his suit here for our wedding but I wish he would have, this shop provides a really great experience without feeling overly sales-y.
The gorgeous Ana modeled as our bride in this shoot with her partner, Max, as our groom. Thank you Ana and Max- you two are incredibly photogenic and fun.
