The Weaver House

A few months ago I found a beautiful rosary at a local coffee shop. It was handmade and beautiful. I’m not Catholic, but after leaving the coffee shop I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I went back a couple of weeks later and bought it. I planned a styled shoot inspired by a wedding day shot by Laurken Kendall, which also featured a rosary.

I put out a model call on Instagram for a catholic female model. A local photographer, Rayna, connected with me. She was so sweet and absolutely perfect for my vision. We found her some vintage-y inspired PJs that had a bridal vibe to them for her to wear. She also brought her own bible and a couple of crucifixes for the shoot.

For the shoot I really wanted a bathroom with character, and preferably a big bathtub. I also wanted a vanity to use for photos of getting ready like makeup and hair. I found the Weaver House thanks to a recommendation from another local photographer who had shot a wedding there. It was absolutely perfect. The house matched my vision and more— I mean, a yellow bathroom with a checkered floor!? Sign me up.

I truly love the way that these photos turned out. It’s so fun to see a vision come to life after months of putting it together. I was so inspired by the space. I would absolutely love to shoot an intimate wedding here, so this venue is definitely on my dream list now.
