Cassie + Pat

Cassie & Pat are a couple of great friends. They are the people who are authentically themselves no matter what environment they’re in— I love this about them.

The two of them met at Monarch’s Corner Bar after a Wednesday Night Ride one day. They wanted to get photos at the table they met at for their engagement session as well as hit the beach, specifically any beach that had scenes of dunes in the background. We chose P.J. Hoffmaster State Park for their beach scenes, one of my favorite beaches to frequent due to the smaller crowds, ample space to lay out, and perfect hammocking trees.

These two are getting married in September at Camp Blodgett. They’ve planned an intimate ceremony followed by lunch with their closest family and friends. Following, they are having a big party/reception at Eastern Hall, a Polish Hall in Grand Rapids. If you knew Cassie and Pat, you’d know how authentically them these wedding day plans are. When I think of my 2025 wedding season ahead of me this has to be the one I’m most excited for. Their trust in me to truly be a true documentary style wedding photographer is a gift that not all couples give. I can’t wait to be a fly on the wall for their special day.
